Song of the Week - Say So |
|
This song is by Israel Houghton and has been very popular in churches in the area. I heard it for the first time a year or so ago. The song has a lot of jazz type chords in it and if you have ever seen Israel play live he likes the open chord voicing of leaving the bottom strings open in his songs. I tabbed this song from watching some of his live videos and listening to the song. When I play this song I don't use many effects. I will use some slight reverb and play it clean. You can add some dirt to the song to really add kick to the chorus. The chords may not line up completely. I copy and pasted this from a my word document.

I do exactly the same, except on the verses i add some slight delay to add that kind of U2 effect.

What delay setting do you use?

I use a dotted eighth time signature and set the delay volume about half of the guitar's volume. i also let set the repeat on 2 or 3. I use a Line 6 Echo park.
