PedalsRight now I am currently using a mult-fx pedal unit at church. This cuts down on costs and space, eventually I would like to start acquiring some single pedals. What does everyone else use as far as pedals, either at home or in worship setting?

from my personal experience, boss makes the best stompboxes. chorus, tuners, overdrive, delay, phaser, flanger, distortion, sustainer/condenser..boss makes it all.

line 6 POd xtLiveI use a Pod xtLive I have found that it has way more boxes than I will ever use. You can hook it up to your computer and the editing is pretty much unlimited and it is just like haveing the amps and the stomp effects right in front of you. You can also edit it right on the unit pretty easy. I also have a Line 6 variax that has about 25 different guitars in it. that works well for me.

I was looking into a POD xtlive for a long time until I stumbled upon the ME-50. I like the pod xtlive but I knew I was never going to need the modeling because I had a good tube amp so I was going to pay extra for something I would never be using.

I thought you said you wanted single pedals...

I use the Boss GT-6 but have used others in the past. I have thought about getting into stomp boxes but then change my mind every time.

I do, its just more cost effective right now to have a multi-effects unit.
Plus when I do start acquiring effects I want to get some fulltone pedals which are too expensive for my budget at the moment.

yeah, stomp boxes are really expensive, especially since they're between $50 and $120 for good ones. Multi effect pedals are good too because they're better for your money, and you can change presets a lot quicker than bending down and adjusting your knobs on the stompboxes.

Ya stompboxes get expensive and quick when you think about things like
volume pedals
compression pedals
eq pedals
and then you can have multiple distortions and OD pedals. I have a running list of all the individual pedals I want and its just more than I can afford.

My current Multi effects unit is one I WISH they would have made years ago!
It is a TC Electronics NOVA system.

It has the same effects as the TC Electronics G system, expect this also has true analog distortion! The effects on it are also NOT a bunch of "space effects" that I cannot use in a service, but most of the effects on there, are sounds I can actually use!
The NOVA system is expensive though...at around $700.00....but it IS less than the G system which runs around $1,300.00!! And the G system does not have it's own distortion. You have to add your own distortion pedal for that.
