All for One!

I have been playing guitar for 20+ years and still feel that I am learning.  I teach guitar as a hobby but work as a professional Software Engineer.  I am also a UPCI minister in the VA district where we have a Home Missions Church.  God is really working in my neck of the woods.

I am hoping that this forum takes off and we can really get connected with all of the great worshipers (guitarist) throughout the world.

Hey, I have been playing for about 4 years, and still have a good deal to learn. As far as the daily grind goes I am a draftsman, so I draw up the blueprints for the company. I attend Keystone Apostolic Church over in WV, with Bro.Johnson. I'm looking forward for this forum to grow and take off.

God bless

Hi Everyone!

Hi Everyone and thank you Brother Carter for letting me know about this forum!

My Name is Alex Valencia. Im 25 years old and have been playing the guitar for almost 15 years. Im a Junior at Kean University in New Jerey majoring in Classical guitar performance. I guess I describe myself mainly as a classical/acustic guitarrist but I play electric too! I met Brother Carter a couple of years ago in San Jose when we taught a workshop. (That was a lot of fun) It was a tremedous blessing to be able to meet Brother Carter and discover that there are musicians in our church of such high level!

I hope this Forum takes off and Im sure we all are going to benefit from it. If I can ever be of any help to anyone please contact me!

Ron,

Welcome aboard!  I love the fact that you put the TAB on your CD.  I hope you really start something by doing that.  Now, if we can just get Wink to do that...  j/k   Laughing

I feel very intimidated by all the years of experience by other members here. Most of the guys have been playing longer than I've been alive but I feel this will serve me good to learn from some very talented veteran guitarist. My name is Caleb I've been playing guitar for 5 years, currently I'm attending grad school IU and going to church at Turning Point Apostolic Church here in Bloomington. I started off playing acoustic something to take up free time while an undergrad at college and now I currently play electric guitar at the church I attend. I feel extremely blessed as the at my church musicians have been invited to provide the music for the UPC camp for the 14-15 age group in Indy in July. I pray that this website flourishes and I will do my part to make sure it does.

Welcome to the site jcbranam!!!  Great to have you aboard.
adrianv

Hey guys!! my name is Adrian Vigil and i am 31 years old. i have been playing guitar since i was about 14. i started out playing basic chords and Metallica licks like most young kids in my generation lol. for about 11 years thats all i played was mostly basic chords. then i had a good friend of mine show me how to start playing leads based off the blues pentatonic scale and i basically took off from there. i am an avid musician. i love music so much that i would rather go blind than deaf. anyways, i grew up in a Pentecostal church for about 16 years then i backslid into the world. for 14 1/2 years i lived in what i thought was a good life. then i came to Gallup and for 4 years i lived here without going to church. after a while, God started talking to me. He gave me signs to show me where i belonged. i finally started going to New Life Apostolic Church here in Gallup under Pastor Wes Eastridge. on Dec 2, 2007 i was baptized in Jesus' name after 31 years of knowing what to do but never doing it. i had recieved the Holy Ghost in November. now my life has changed drastically and i live for God wholeheartedly. i've started my Artist page on MySpace and posted some songs i've recorded over the years. i'm beginning to work on some new Christian material which i will post as i complete it. so that's part of my story anyway. lol

Great testimony!  Welcome aboard.

My name is Byron Warfield,
I've been playing guitar for 7 years...I came to know the Lord through playing drums in the Capitol Region of NY with Peter Whitehouse who helps run the ministries out of the Prayer & Healing Center in Albany, NY. There I received Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, and in July of 2004 I was baptized with water. Around August of last year I was baptized in the Holy Spirit while attending a church led by Pastor Chris Turner. I want to change people's lives with the music that comes out of my guitar and my lips, and I want that music to break the yoke and set the captive free. I'm currently going through a wilderness in my spiritual life. God is still great...I count it joy though my trials and tribulations. My biggest desire is that I just want my musical gifts to be used to the 'enth degree to restore and expand the kingdom.
                                      Blessings in Christ,
                                                  Byron

OK, I got it that time.  That sounded cool.  Is that live musicians playing with you or is that a backing track?
Paul Baker

Started playing when I was 11 yrs. old and I'm still learnin' today! I played in a few local rock bands in my youth. Now I rock for Jesus! I play bass at church most of the time but every once in a while they'll turn me loose with one of my guitars and let me have some fun. I want God to use what talent he gave me in anyway he can.

Oh that's a backing track, I'm not in a band right now. I'm flying solo with my own material. On my material it's all me on most of my stuff.

I have been playing guitar for 28 years in church. I got the Holy Ghost in 1981.

Have done some recording, but nothing professional.

As far as my gear, I listed that on the gear discussion page of this forum.

No website to speak of.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I am really looking forward to discussing gear and guitar related issues here.  As well as do it in an apostolic atmosphere.
