Acoustic guitars

I currently own an Ovation acoustic/electric but dislike playing the guitar standing up due to the curved back and how it tends to push out at the bottom.  Therefore, I was looking into replacing it with something else.  Do any of you have suggestions or warnings against any particular brand?
