awesome!
I actually live in Terre Haute, and I go to church with Bro. Larry Hutchings.
I'll be going to the advanced session and then the 3rd one since I guess it comes free with your purchase. So I just call the number on the website, and pay at the door?
either way..I can't wait!!

I don't know your budget, but we have cheaper places like motel6, days inn, and we also have nicer places like a hilton, knight's inn, drury inn, holiday inn and most of them are pretty close to the mall. terre haute's not a super big city like indianapolis or anything, but it's not a really small town either, so everything's pretty much in one general area, the mall, hotels, gas stations, music stores, retail stores, all that good stuff.

All you that will be attending this event should post reviews of what happened, what you liked, what you wish was done differently, etc...

I have a question about paying for it. How exactly does it work?
Do I call the number on the website to reserve a spot, and pay at the door, or can I just show up at the right time and then pay?

I would call the number on the site and ask. They would help you out better than we could.

the workshop was awesome. i don't know about the beginner session because I only went to the advanced session and stayed for the 3rd one. The only thing I didn't like was I wish it could have lasted longer.

I learned a cool new way to do natural harmonics, and new shapes for jazz chords.
At the session I went to, Larry showed us how he approaches different styles of guitar playing like country, jazz, blues, and rock and how he voices his solos and scales off of his chord shapes. I actually learned more near the end of the second session. The majority of the second session was mostly demonstrations, which is cool. But then later, he came down and talked to us individually to help each individual person on what they want to know to be a better player. After that, we all got together is sort of a group and we had this huge blues improv thing, and that was really fun. On the third session, we went back to teaching people on an individual basis, so Larry worked with a guy that was sitting by me on acoustic stuff, and then I got with a couple guys and I introduced them to some pretty fundamental scales for beginners like natural minor, pentatonic minor, and the blues scale. I had a lot of fun learning from Larry and jamming with him, and also spreading some of my knowledge to others as well. I'll definately go to the next workshop you guys do.
