Putting A Humbucker In A Strat |
|
Here recently i have been wanting a fuller tone in my bridge position for my strat. Any suggestions for a humbucker or beefier single coil pickup? And if anyone would know the base price for installation and sorts please share also. Thanks.

Installation prob wouldn't cost you that much. Maybe an hour worth of bench time depending on what the tech charges per hour. If you put a humbucker in the strat you would have to get a new pickguard. Warmoth is a good place to find pickguards relatively cheap. I'm not sure about giving advice on which p/u's to look at, hopefully other members will chime in.

Ok thanks. The guitar shop who i would take it to plays guitar in a local pentecostal church and is a friend so maybe i would get a good deal also. Another question is would the humbucker affect any of the other pickups?

You may want to find out what Fender puts in their Fat Strat models because those models have humbuckers in the bridge position.
