I would like to introduce something to you for you to use as outreach. I call it JAM sessions and it stands for Jesus And Music (JAM). What you do is invite people in and outside the church to your JAM session. You can decide if you want to keep it specific to one instrument or open to all instruments. I tend to keep mine to just guitar for now. During the session, you start off with a short prayer and then jam a little. This lets everyone become comfortable and relaxed with each other. Then after a designated time period, you do a short devotional type of lesson. It is helpful at first to make these lessons related to worship or music in the Bible. As these meetings continue, you may find that you can get deeper into your Bible studies. Just remember that these JAM sessions are geared toward reaching out to those lost in this world and not just to those in our local assemblies.
If you happen to try this, let me know how it went and how many were involved.
