Here's the instrumental demo of a worship song I co-wrote with a dear friend of mine Anthony Fish, who's currently an enlisted man in the Army. I haven't got a vocal take on it that I'm happy with but when I do I'll be sure to post it here.
Here are the lyrics:
Down this path of life I walk alone,
carrying all the pain I own.
Frozen wind steals my breath,
When I try to speak.
The wind cuts like daggers on the cheeks,
of this drifter that's wandered far from home.
Struggling to make a fire in the cold,
and I'm freezing to this mold of the world.
Lord you know my heart, and I know you feel my pain.
(Spoken)
And the Lord said to me,
"You were never alone,
I was with you all along;
Don't you know that I will
never leave you or forsake you?
You are my son, and
I haven't given up on you.
(Instrumental, Spontaneous Worship)
